Dr. Constantin Rădulescu Stadium

General information

It was inaugurated in 1973 with a match between CFR Cluj and the Cuban national team. The stadium was modernized when CFR Cluj was promoted to the first league in 2004 and then shortly afterwards qualified for the European Cups. The club then started a reconsolidation program worth 20 million euros, during which three new modern tribunes were built. The works were completed in September 2008. The stadium is located near the center of Cluj-Napoca, a little north, about 15 minutes' walk from the central area. The distance from the central station is even shorter.
