It is a multifunctional arena that primarily hosts home matches of the CSA Steaua Bucharest football team, being built on the site of the old Steaua stadium. The current stadium was inaugurated on July 7, 2021, during a match between Steaua Bucharest and OFK Belgrade - the same match that had inaugurated the old stadium -, won by Steaua 6-0. The current arena has a capacity of 31,254 seats and meets the UEFA category IV criteria.
